Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage, sliced or crumbled
  • 1 (20 oz) package cheese tortellini, refrigerated or frozen
  • 3 cups baby spinach, optional but recommended
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Add the cooked sausage to the Crockpot.
  3. Pour in the marinara sauce, heavy cream, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Add the tortellini and toss gently to coat.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or on HIGH for 2–3 hours until the tortellini is tender.
  6. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the spinach, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
  7. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
  8. Serve hot, with extra cheese sprinkled on top if you’re feeling fancy.
